Nature and art are inextricably connected, and Geauga Park District strives to nurture that connection in the eyes of children and adults alike.
To this effect, Naturalist Renell Roebuck has embraced the opportunity to offer walk-up Nature crafts during three weekdays this summer, all from 1 to 3 p.m. at The West Woods’ Turkey Ridge Shelter – no registration required!
Mark your calendar for July 5 to create a wall hanging with natural materials, July 26 to design a yarn bird, on August 4 to create a recycled paper mushroom with natural materials. As an added bonus, all three sessions will also cover fun Nature facts based on topics related to the craft.
Crafting will be available for all two hours while supplies last, and fully wheelchair/stroller accesible. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The West Woods is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township. With questions, call 440-286-9516.
