Conservation can be educational and entertaining – see for yourself!
Of course we encourage you to live every day like Earth Day, but for the actual Earth Day, we’re doing something a little extra special.
Geauga Park District’s Natural Resource Management staff invites you to celebrate Earth Day locally through its free, interactive Earth Day Extravaganza on Saturday, April 22nd, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Headwaters Park!
Family-friendly activities include fishing instruction and practice on the beautiful East Branch Reservoir, a live animal reptile and amphibian show-and-tell, native plant gardening, expert speakers on current conservation issues, informational displays and a children’s Nature craft.
Education will focus on wildlife and environmental issues facing Geauga County and what residents can do locally to make a difference for Mother Earth. Guests can stop in any time during scheduled hours. We’ll see you in the park!
