Geauga Growth Partnership invites all business leaders to Geauga Growth Partnership’s Annual Partnership Meeting on Wednesday, June 21st from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame Education Center in Chardon. This free breakfast meeting will feature presentations by Keynote Speaker Dr. Joel Elvery, an Economist from the Federal Reserve Bank, and speaker Jacob Duritsky, Vice President, Strategy & Researcher for TeamNEO.
Dr. Elvery will speak on the national economy as well as what is affecting Ohio and Northeast Ohio’s economic climate. Day-to-day Dr. Elvery studies economic models and uses statistical trials to calculate future trends with applied econometrics and can be found working in the other banks throughout the Fourth Federal Reserve District. He earned his MA and PhD in in economics from the University of Maryland, and has worked for the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington DC and the US Census Bureau’s Center for Economic Studies.

TeamNEO is an economic development organization focused on creating jobs for Northeast Ohio’s residents and Jacob Duritsky will speak briefly about Geauga County’s workforce. Mr. Duritsky joined TeamNEO in 2008 and has significantly contributed to the organization’s business attraction efforts. He coordinates research for the Cleveland Plus area and provides TeamNEO with accurate and relevant information in order to create efficient economic growth analyses.
Geauga Growth Partnership’s Annual Meeting will also include a brief business meeting, updates on Geauga Growth Partnership initiatives and presentations of this year’s Geauga Growth Partnership Founders Award to Mr. Keith Tompkins, former President of Kinetico Inc., and the Frank Samuel Distinguished Service Award to United Way Services of Geauga County.
