Experience Down on the Farm Fun at Sirna’s Fall Fest

Sirna’s Farm and Market in Auburn Township is inviting all communities to their Annual Fall Festival event at their farm the second weekend in October. From noon to 5 p.m. on October 12 and 13, you’re invited for a day at the farm for all things autumn and a whole lot of fun!

The Sirna’s Fall Fest started as a customer appreciation day nearly a decade ago. Since the family’s first appreciation day, the event has grown bigger and better every year. The family farm invites everyone, regardless of age, for a day at the farm. The event’s attractions include face painting, hay rides, games and contests, educational farm tours, farm animals and more! This year, because of a bad summer, the Sirna’s sadly report there will be no corn maze, but that didn’t stop them from getting creative and making an obstacle course in the half-grown corn maze to make use of the corn field!

Sirna's Farm & Market

The Fall Fest’s signature attraction? A corn box! Rather than a sand box, their ‘box’ is filled with corn kernels. Kids and adults eagerly hop in to massage their feet, play, and stash a couple kernels in their pockets from time to time. The event is geared towards kids, but everyone has a little kid inside of them. There’s something to do for all ages, and you’re never too old to learn. The Sirna’s are big on education, and one can learn a lot exploring their family owned and operated farm and participating in the tours.

Owner Craig Sirna says, “We go to a lot of farmers markets all over Northeast Ohio during the summer. What better way to entice our customers to come to the farm than a full day of fun? My daughter Kaitlyn sells the event on the fact that we’ll send your kids home tired. I tell the kids to remind their parents when I hand them a post card stating the dates and activities. We want everyone to come and learn. It’s a perfect opportunity to see our farm and what we’re all about.”

Local rings a bell when you think of what Sirna’s Farm is all about. They pride themselves on being “The Local Store.” Over 95% of the store is stocked with wholesome products from Ohio, usually within 25 miles. At the Fall Fest, some of their favorite businesses they sell in their store will be demonstrating their product and offering a secondary, unique learning experience.

Owner Anne Marie’s favorite holiday is Halloween. She encourages kids to get dressed up in costumes or pull on an autumn sweater for the perfect photo op in the beautiful pumpkin patch with all of the fall harvest décor. But do that first! A farm can get muddy if you let your kids get down and dirty! Come prepared, or keep an eye on your kids; there’s lots to see and do! Anne says, “You bring the clothes, we’ve got the hose.”
