Veterans Legacy Woods
Join other park lovers for a one-hour walk at Veterans Legacy Woods, following portions of the “orange” and “magenta” paths. The group will convene behind the park Lodge and practice social distancing guidelines. If more than 10 hikers arrive, we will split into smaller teams to walk. Please:
- bring your own water bottle and binoculars if needed
- keep distance of 6 feet between you and other walkers
- use face masks as recommended by CDC
- bring gloves if you might like to participate in garlic mustard and litter cleanup
This 180-acre park, formerly Wicked Woods Golf Course, was purchased by Geauga Park District in November 2018 with the intent of restoring these lands to a more natural state. Existing cart path mileage is 4.5 miles.

Upcoming Explorations
Watch for outings each month for the Explorers Series as we explore a different park in Geauga County by boot, bike, paddle, or skis. Each experience provides a fun way to get outdoors, meet new people, and learn more about the natural, historic, and cultural beauty of our county.
All activities begin at 10:30 a.m. and finish up by noon, unless stated otherwise.
