Geauga Park District invites your participation in a two-month community art exhibition of astronomy-themed and inspired artwork – both realistic interpretations and science fiction!
Eyes to the Sky: The Art of Astronomy will open to the public at The West Woods Nature Center with a special Meet the Artists event on Sunday, February 12th, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and remain open daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through April 24th.
Categories are drawing/painting, photography, other media and children (age 15 and under). Entries will be accepted the first two days of February at specified times; for details, download the artist application at .
Eyes to the Sky was conceived as a means to turn heads toward the exciting ongoing restoration of the Nassau Astronomical Observing Station at Observatory Park in Montville Township; foster appreciation for the awe, beauty and mystery of the dark night sky; and showcase the creative talents of regional artisans in a beautiful park setting.
