First-ever event to provide your indoor and outdoor inspiration
So we know it’s good to get kids outside and learning about Nature – but what should we do once we’re there? Join other families to experience the Great Outdoors in a new way during Geauga Park District’s first-ever Family Nature Day.
What: Family Nature Day
When: Saturday, July 20 – Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: The West Woods Nature Center
9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87), Russell Twp.
Expect something for adults and children of all ages.
Free outdoor activities will include pond scooping and a nature scavenger hunt, while free indoor activities will include pretzel stick fishing, nature crafts, a nature ID quiz and plant parts we eat every day.
The Northern Ohio Association of Herpetologists will also be on hand with an indoor show of live reptiles and amphibians.
Registration is not required for this program, which will be entirely wheelchair/stroller accessible indoors but only partially accessible outdoors. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
