Real Money, Real World
Real Money, Real World is a financial literacy program for youth run out of The Ohio State University Extension in Geauga County. Mr. Higg’s Economics’ classes participated in the interactive spending simulation on April 4. Real Money, Real World increases student awareness of how education level and corresponding career choice influence personal income and financial security, and increases the students’ knowledge of money management tools used in daily spending for cost of living decisions.

Judge Stupica Addresses Berkshire 10th Graders

Municipal Court Judge Terri Stupica visited with Berkshire 10th graders on Thursday, April 10. Judge Stupica discussed the role of her court and the type of cases she sees on a daily basis. Her remarks focused on the opiate problem in Geauga County and the impact this drug is having on individuals and families. She addressed the inappropriate use of social media and how it does not go away. Judge Stupica also touched upon the Bill of Rights and the legalization of marijuana in Colorado.
