Students in Mrs. Horvath’s first grade class recently conducted experiments involving the different states of matter!
Students must be able to identify matter in a liquid, solid, or gas form. To help them gain a better perspective, Science Consultant Mr. Z. stopped by with some experiments. Students watched as ice cubes changed their state of matter from a solid to a liquid, and then measured liquids and gasses by using graduates.
Mrs. Horvath explained, “This hands-on experiment used measurements to illustrate the different properties of matter and was a great chance for students to explore the difference between solids, liquids, and gasses.”
