The Chardon Community Action Team is pleased to announce that we have awarded our first ever scholarship to Chardon graduate Jacob Happ.
The CCAT works in our community to reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs among our youth through education and activities. Every year the Chardon Community Action Team sponsors a number of events such as our annual Car & Motorcycle Show on August 11 making this scholarship possible.
The CCAT was pleasantly overwhelmed to review the 24 applicants who have chosen to grow up without the influence of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. Each applicant not only met all scholarship criteria, but exceeded them.
“Congratulations to each and every one of the applicants who applied for this first scholarship offered by CCAT,” said Coco Griffis chairman of the Scholarship Committee. “It is truly a great thing to see so many fine youth choosing to live a healthy life.”
