FISH STOCKING – Plan to take fish from 12 parks, including 5 freshly stocked ponds or lakes


Geauga Park District is excited to announce the stocking of the following ponds this spring:

  • Claridon Woodlands’ Lower Pineside Pond – Largemouth Bass, Bluegill
  • Swine Creek Reservation’s Killdeer and Lodge ponds – Largemouth Bass, Bluegill
  • Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve’s Best Lake – Yellow Perch
  • Orchard Hills Parks’ Pond – Largemouth Bass, Bluegill
Stocking notifications are always posted on the Park District’s Facebook and X accounts.
Families are welcome to catch and take fish from waterways in 12 Park District parks as long as they have a current Ohio fishing license in accordance with state regulations.
Fishing locations and their inhabiting species, as well as any upcoming fishing programs can be found at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org under Activities, then Fishing, which also includes a link to Geauga Park District’s Facebook group dedicated to sharing updates about fishing throughout the scenic Geauga parks.
