Flamingos are Flocking to Chagrin Falls Schools!

Chagrin Falls High School Instrumental Music Program is holding a fundraiser for individuals and families to send a flock of flamingos to the yards of friends and family in the Chagrin Falls Schools from Friday, April 13th to Sunday, April 22nd.

The fundraiser is for the Chagrin Falls Band and Orchestra trip to perform at Walt Disney World in November. Flocks of flamingos will move around the Chagrin Falls Schools’ community from Friday, April 13th to Sunday, April 22nd. A donation of $20 or more will send a flock to friends or family. If you wake up in the morning with a flock in your yard, a donation of $10 will take the flock away. For a donation of over $10, the flock will be taken away and you can choose the next friend or family to be flocked. Flock-Me-Not Insurance will also be offered for those who would like to support the band and orchestra trip to Disney and would rather not have flamingos in their yard. Suggested donation is $25. If you do not want to participate at all, simply call the Flocking Hot Line and we will place you on the Do-Not- Flock list and they will never make a visit to your yard.

“We were looking for a fun, different fundraising idea that involved the entire Chagrin community since so many students participate in the music program and so many more people are able to enjoy the product of their hard work at concerts, sporting and community events,” said parent Jennifer Condon.

High school band and orchestra students will be naming the flamingo flocks. They will also be moving the flocks from yard to yard along with a supervising adult. Keep your eyes peeled for flamingos in a yard near you.

For more information, to Flock-a-Friend or to purchase Flock-Me-Not Insurance, please call (440) 561-9341 or visit Chagrin Falls Music Lovers and click “Events” tab.

All proceeds support the Chagrin Falls High School Instrumental Music trip to perform at Walt Disney World in November 2018.
