Geauga Park District resumes boat borrowing at Headwaters Park for the season beginning Sunday, June 6.
Kayaks and canoes can be borrowed from the boathouse first-come-first-served – and free of charge to Geauga County residents – during the following times this summer:
Saturday & Sundays 10 AM to 5 PM
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays noon to 7 PM
Each loan can last up to two hours, with the last boats going out one hour before closing time. Geauga County residents ages 18 and older with an ID can borrow for free, while out-of-county residents must pay $5 per hour for adults, $3 per hour for kids 12 and under, and $8 for tandem (credit card only, paid onsite).
Please note that provided life vests must be worn at all times in the water. Hours are posted to www.geaugaparkdistrict.org under News & Updates, where exceptions will also be posted as they occur. Before heading out for a boat, please read the information at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org/
