CHARDON, OHIO, June 10, 2015 – At recent meetings of the Chardon Kiwanis the need for healthy and nutritious meals for those in need was discussed. To help meet the local need the club will be hosting a food drive.
The Chardon Kiwanis Club will be accepting donation during the July 29th, at the Concert in the Park on Chardon Square, from 7 PM to 9 PM. Donations can be brought to the donation table and may include non-perishable food items, toiletries, and cash. All donations will be given to the food pantry at the Pilgrim Christian Church.
“The goal of Kiwanis is to change the world, one child and community at a time, says Baron Miller project leader for the Chardon Kiwanis Club. “Helping to collect food for those in need is a step in that direction.”
People are encouraged to come out to enjoy some good rock and roll performed by the 730 Club. In addition, while you listen to some good music you will get to know you are lending a helping hand to those in need too.
