Free Group Dance Lessons Before Concert in Triangle Park June

The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce, Fred Astaire Dance Studio and Laurel Lake Retirement Community will be providing yet another great summer outdoor concert on Thursday, June 20th at Triangle Park.

This week’s concert features the Dan Zola Orchestra which is a big band steeped in the tradition of the famous swing and dance bands. Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Les Brown, Harry James, Ellington and Sinatra are just a sampling of the many authentic sounds that are featured by the Dan Zola Orchestra. Whether it’s Swing, Latin, Waltzes or Fox Trots, this band has the arrangements that bring back the nostalgia of the big band era that has thrilled countless audiences over the past decades. One of the concert sponsors, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, will be offering a beginner group dance class at 6 p.m. Instructors and students will be on hand to teach you how to dance in a fun, relaxed, group setting. Then practice what you learned to live music by the Dan Zola Orchestra who will begin to play at 7 p.m.

The summer concerts will be held on Thursday evenings through August 8. The remaining bands booked are: Geeze Cats, Special Request, Cletus Black, Blue Lunch, Logan Wells & Jerry Colosimo, and the JiMiller Band. Concerts start at 7:00 p.m. and last about 2 hours. Rain location for all concerts is Township Hall, 83 N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls. Pick up something to eat in the Village, bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy the free live music brought to you by the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce.
