Another construction season is underway for Geauga Park District, with the greatest impacts on public access found at Frohring Meadows and Headwaters Park.
Portions of both parks will be closed beginning in May. Continuing through October, crews will work at Frohring Meadows in Bainbridge Township to renovate an existing shelter, expand the parking lot and install a boardwalk. Meanwhile, crews will work through December at Headwaters Park in Huntsburg and Claridon townships to build a new shelter, as part of an existing boathouse renovation, and install additional campsites and restrooms.
Completion of two new woodland trails at Observatory Park in Montville Township is eagerly anticipated this summer. And, already this season, parking renovations have been completed at Chickagami Park in Parkman Township, and boardwalk renovations are done at Bessie Benner Metzenbaum Park in Chesterland.
