GCLF Launches Volunteer Organization: Partners of the GCLF

Geauga County –  The Geauga County Library Foundation (GCLF) is pleased to announce its new volunteer organization, the Partners of the GCLF.

Cathy Leary, GCLF Board Chair, and Barb Reynolds GCLF Secretary enjoy volunteering at the annual Mini Golf at the Library Fundraiser at Geauga West Branch.

Partners of the Geauga County Library Foundation (GCLF) are library champions who actively love and support Geauga County Public Library (GCPL). Partners are library ambassadors, volunteers, and people who champion GCPL at every turn.

“We know there are many Geauga County citizens that love the library and wish to be more engaged in our mission through volunteering,” says Becki Gierman, Executive Director of GCLF. “This organization offers many opportunities to be involved at any commitment level, whether it’s helping for a few hours at the Geauga County Fair Book Sale, working at our Mini Golf at the Library annual fundraiser, or chairing a committee.  There is something for everyone.”

There are no set dues to be a Partner of GCLF, but donations in any amount are appreciated. GCLF is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that solely supports GCPL.

Partners of GCLF support GCPL programs such as:

  • Rascal’s Reading Club early literacy initiative which includes Baby’s First Book, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, and Rascal’s Readers.
  • GCPL’s Summer & Winter Reading Programs that provide reading incentive activities, games, and programs for families to read together.
  • Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, a statewide kindergarten readiness program that mails free books every month to all enrolled children under age 5.

For more information or to enroll to be a Partner of the GCLF, visit the “Donate” page at www.GeaugaLibary.net. Paper applications are available at all GCPL Branches.
