Geauga County – March 14, 2020 – After much deliberation and consideration, and in response to Gov. Mike DeWine’s orders closing all K-12 schools and prohibiting mass gatherings, all GCPL locations will continue to be closed to the public through at least April 6. Our concern is that closings are inevitable, but the longer we delay closing, the less benefit we get from this difficult decision. We are also hopeful that this decision will give other organizations the confidence to close in order to maximize the benefits of social distancing.
Our digital offerings remain available for cardholders, including our vast collection of eBooks, audiobooks, eMagazines, streaming movies, music and television shows, as well as most research tools for online learning.
Additionally, voting on Election Day at our Middlefield Branch will go as planned, March 17, 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Don’t worry about returning or renewing your materials before we close. Remember we are fine free. We prefer you return your materials when we reopen. Our book drops will be open.
