Geauga County Public Library Rocks Out with Summer Reading Concert Series

“Libraries Rock!” is this year’s summer reading theme, and Geauga County Public Library is taking that message to heart. Join us as we celebrate reading and rocking in Geauga County. Additionally, visit your local Geauga County Public Library Branch to participate in numerous music history programs, musical games, and dance classes.

Concert series dates and locations:

Shazzbots and Offset at Heritage Park
17870 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls
Wednesday, May 23rd, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Bring the family to Heritage Park to hear live music from the Shazzbots and Kenston High School’s own rock band Offset. Food trucks will be on site and attendees can take a tour of the Fun Bus Bookmobile.

Abbey Rodeo at Chardon Square
100 Short Court St., Chardon
Friday, June 22nd, 7:00 p.m.

Rock out with local band Abbey Rodeo, mixing rock covers and originals at Chardon Concerts in the Park as we celebrate our Summer Reading Program. We all know that libraries rock. Let’s celebrate it! Geauga County Public Library is partnering with the City of Chardon to sponsor this event. Come early and tour our Fun Bus Bookmobile and sign up for summer reading.

No Control at Chesterland Tavern

Saturday, July 14th, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Membership has its privileges. Grab your Geauga County library card and head out to the Chesterland Tavern. Simply present your card to get a free appetizer. Stick around to enjoy some classic rock with the band No Control.

The Chardon Polka Band at Observatory Park

Monday, August 13th, 7:00 p.m.

Celebrate summer reading with The Chardon Polka Band as they mix traditional polkas with hip elements, adding a touch of attitude. CPB has a diverse and widespread following in the Cleveland area, as well on the national polka and Oktoberfest circuits.

The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service branches in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West) and Middlefield, two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson, and a Mobile Services fleet that serves rural areas and community centers.
