The Great Lakes Cheese story began in 1958, when Swiss immigrant Hans Epprecht began his neighborhood cheese-delivering business. The company assets consisted of a truck, a lease of space, vacuum packaging machine and a cheese cart.
Industrious, dedicated and determined to succeed he made it a point of listening to customer needs and responding to provide the best solutions for his customers.
