As a means to meet leadership training needs for Geauga County businesses, Geauga Growth Partnership and the Geauga Branch of SCORE are partnering to provide an in-depth, six-part training series for the emerging leaders in your businesses and organizations. SCORE is the small business-mentoring arm of the US Small Business Administration.

The Emerging Leaders Series presented by SCORE will be offered Fridays, September 11, 18, 25 and October 2, 9, 16, from 8 – 10 a.m. with an optional roundtable discussion to follow from 10 – 11 a.m. Each meeting will be held at Kent State University at Geauga, 14111 Claridon Troy Rd, Burton, OH.

Geauga Emerging Leader Series: Simple Steps for Growing Your Business (SSGBTM) was developed jointly by SCORE and American Express Business as a means to build management skills for new or potential leaders. The progressive training will begin with a Business Assessment questionnaire, completed prior to the first session, which will help you identify the areas of need in your business. Each Friday session will focus on a different aspect of business leadership, and will be led by different leaders in those areas of expertise.

Session 1: Business Assessment and Goal Setting – September 11

Session 2: Managing Your Time, People and Resources – September 18

Session 3: Marketing Your Business – September 25

Session 4: Growing Your Sales – October 2

Session 5: Financial Management – October 9

Session 6: Managing Operations – October 16

The cost for this series is $ 395.00 per registration, but GGP Members will only be charged $325.00. (A 10% discount is available for additional participants from the same company.) An early registration discount of $50 off the initial program fee will be given to those who are registered before August 11, 2015.
