The goal of this challenge to spread the word about the awesome opportunity hand-feed chickadees at The West Woods, 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87), Russell Township.

All you need to do to complete this challenge is head over to The West Woods and follow the instructions posted online at  or available at the front desk of the nature center. While you’re there, snap a selfie of yourself chillin’ with a bird in your hand or, as is often the case, on your head! Then, post that selfie to your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the following message. (Don’t forget the hashtag!)

“’A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.’ I challenge NAME, NAME and NAME to take the #ChickadeeMe Selfie Challenge within the next week at The West Woods in Geauga Park District and post their selfie to social media with this exact message and three new names. How to try your hand: . Connecting with Nature is awesome!”

You will be encouraging your friends to complete the challenge, and getting those birds a little extra face time!
