Geauga Park District’s Home Sweet Habitat Scavenger Hunt is November 24

Family’s home? Need something to do? Pay attention to this clue: On a rhyming scavenger hunt you will go, to uncover habitat facts you did not know.

Geauga Park District’s Home Sweet Habitat Scavenger Hunt is active one day only, Saturday, November 24th, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The West Woods. Drop in any time during program hours to complete this indoor scavenger hunt. Activities will include climbing into a beaver lodge, making an insect finger puppet, practicing being a Nature detective, identifying birds, feeding a bird by hand, “catching a fish,” playing the Monarch migration game, crawling through a log, making a puzzle, and meeting a tree frog and a box turtle. Complete five of these and win your choice of Wild Ohio Magazine, plus get entered into a drawing for maple syrup produced at Swine Creek Reservation. Staff will also be on hand to help with any questions or clues.

While you’re at the nature center, also plan to spend some time in the educational exhibit area and the newly remodeled Discovery Room with live animals and fun activities for all ages!

Activities will be wheelchair/stroller accessible. Registration is not required to attend – just show up! Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
