The dog days of summer are definitely here, but don’t despair if you missed the spring tree planting season. Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District is offering a great option to “fall” back on… our Fall Tree Sale! Planting trees in autumn offers warmer weather, workable soil, and enables the root systems to grow before the hot summer returns.
The Fall Tree Sale will take place September 23rd – 24th and continues to offer both coniferous and deciduous trees seedlings, each contained in a 3” x 3” x 5” pot. From White Pine to Arborvitae and Swamp White Oak to Silver Maple, this year’s tree selection is simple, affordable, and suitable to your landscaping needs. Rain barrels and compost tumblers are also available for year round backyard benefits! Consider purchasing tree sale gift certificates for unique, meaningful gifts.
