The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild (GLTG) is currently accepting nominations for its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors oversees the governance, operations, and finances for the organization, which is celebrating 60 years.
In addition to the three open trustee positions, GLTG is seeking candidates to fill two officer vacancies for a two-year term, Secretary and Treasurer.
“We are looking for individuals that not only have a passion for theater and the arts, but for those with professional expertise that will complement our board and staff,” commented Board President and Interim Executive Director, Lee Ann Tamburrino. “We have a big job ahead of us. We will be embarking on a capital campaign and setting the stage for the next 60 years.”
Interested applicants should send a letter of intent along with a membership application (if not currently a member) to the GLTG offices at PO Box 834, Chardon, OH 44024 Attn. Beth Matthews or apply electronically at operations@geaugatheater.org. The deadline to apply is August 8, 2014 at 5pm.
Candidates and resolutions will be announced to the public on August 15, 2014. Elections for the vacant positions will go before the GLTC membership at the annual meeting which will be held at the theater on September 23, 2014 at 7 pm. The annual meeting is open to the public, however, only members are permitted to vote on the slate of candidates.
