Try the hands-on way to see what’s beneath the surface!
Standing on dry land, you can kind of see what’s living in the pond. You might spot a few fish or watch a small bug swim by.
But explore the water with a net, digging around in the muck and pulling its contents right up to your eyes, and you’ll find that there’s a whole other world in there – and here’s a great, self-paced opportunity to do just that!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, May 28th, to join a Geauga Park District naturalist at Big Creek Park for Pond Dipping Day! Anyone who drops in between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. will be provided with nets, containers and fun meeting the multitude of tiny critters who call Wild Goose Pond home.
All ages are welcome and admission is free without registration. We’ll see you there!
