How would you like to help your neighbors by singing?
It is time again for the voices of the Good Tidings Benefit Choir to come together to raise spirits and funds for the Geauga Hunger Task Force. All practices will be held at Notre Dame Chapel, 13000 Auburn Road in Munson, Ohio, on Sundays starting February 1 from 2 pm – 4 pm. We will rehearse the 2nd and 3rd sections of Handel’s Messiah.
The choir is open to high school students and older. You may bring your own score with you or there will be copies available for $8.00. Soloists will be chosen from the choir.
This year is the choir’s 26th Anniversary and we celebrate our continuing success in caring for our neighbors. The Spring programs are Saturday March 21 at 7 pm and Sunday March 22 at 3 pm. Join us for a heartwarming experience.
The Geauga Hunger Task Force is a volunteer driven organization that has been in existence since 1977. There are seven food pantries throughout Geauga County that serve the hungry year-round. The need this year has increased almost beyond the ability of our food pantries.
The seven Geauga Hunger Task Force pantries are located in: Burton, Chagrin Falls, Chardon, Chesterland, Middlefield, Newbury and Thompson. The food pantries provided food to 5,284 Geauga County households in 2014, which is over 1,000 more households than they helped in 2013.
