With the support of a $5,000 grant from the Dominion K – 12 Educational Partnership, NDES seventh grade STEM students completed the year applying engineering principles to renewable energy production. Comparing and contrasting the effectiveness of different blades, students worked in teams and constructed different designs with balsa wood. All designs were tested using sensor technology and recording software.
