Hamlet Village Retirement Community and Friends of WomenSafe are partnering to host a fall luncheon, “Leaves of Change” on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Hamlet Atrium located at 200 Hamlet Hills Drive, in Chagrin Falls.

The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. so you can enjoy a glass of wine, mingle, and buy tickets for the gift raffle offering gift certificates, jewelry, and specialty baskets. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by a brief talk by Andrea Gutka, Executive Director of WomenSafe. Ms. Gutka will give advice on how to help friends and/or relatives who may be in abusive relationships. The highlight of the luncheon will be a medley of Broadway Show Tunes performed by singers and actors provided by the Chagrin Studio Orchestra and the Chagrin Valley Little Theater.

Tickets are only $25 and can be purchased online through the FOW website at www.fows.info or by calling 440-285-3741.

This luncheon is dedicated to the memory of two Hamlet employees, Terri Treadway and Catherine Sutter, who lost their lives in a domestic violence incident in March of this year. Terri and Catherine were both a vital part of the Hamlet Village family. Terri worked for Hamlet over forty years. Catherine was a Councilwoman in Burton and was working at Hamlet to be near her mother who is a resident of Hamlet. It is hoped that this luncheon, held in their honor, will spread awareness that may help prevent tragic events like this from happening in the future.
