Troop 193 of Russell is having a fund raiser at Danny Boys, Sunday, February 24, 2013. There are 4 families in our troop will not be able to afford summer camp this year for their sons. Summer camp is approximately $300 per boy. At camp, the boys learn skills to earn merit badges. All of the badges help the boys learn skills that will prepare them to be a more engaged adult. First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, Personal Finance, Citizen of the Community are just some of the badges that are offered annually and are required for the rank of Eagle Scout. Summer camp provides these boys the opportunity to focus on earning the badges and practice team work skills and leadership skills for a solid week. Please consider going to Danny Boys on Sunday, February 24th (3 p.m. – 7 p.m.) and having some great pasta, pizza, breadsticks, salad and homemade desserts and get to know more about what these wonderful scouts are doing in the community. The tickets are $20/adult and $12/child (3-10). Under 3 is free.
