There are a lot of wonderful things that we get to experience in this life, but I have to say that one of the most wonderful things I have ever been able to do is meet my furry little buddy Toby. Any man that gets to experience this kind of connection and love understands what I mean. I’ve shared a lot of stories about Toby over the past couple of years, but today I want to share a story about another four legged friend that you might not have heard mentioned here before.
About a year and a half ago Ed, my business partner Rachel’s husband, was selected to become one of the canine handlers for the sheriff’s office. I was so happy that they were able to bring Rotar home with them, and when we were able to visit them a couple months later in their home, I could tell that Ed and Rotar were already the best of friends.

A dog is the kind of friend that will listen to you when you need someone to talk to. He’ll keep you warm at night, and he’ll give you a big wet kiss when you least expect it and need it most. Dogs are, without a doubt, man’s best friends. Today I want to ask you to help bring Rotar back home to Ed.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside Ed’s control, he had to resign his position at the sheriff’s office this past summer, which also meant leaving Rotar behind as well. Since then, he has been working to buy Rotar back from the sheriff’s office.
No one should be separated from their dog, and so I’m asking for your help. There’s even something in it for you!

Ralph Spidalieri of Great Lakes Outdoor Supply has generously sponsored a fundraiser to help support bringing Rotar back home to his daddy. If you want to be a part of this reunion effort, you can purchase a raffle ticket to win $500 cash or a rifle. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply, or from Rachel Hunziker. You can call her at 440-940-6761 or email her at rachel@littleacornmedia.com if you would like to purchase tickets or donate in some other way. The drawing will be held on December 21, 2013 so be sure to get your ticket by December 20!
Take a moment and think about how hard it would be to be without your furry little (or not-so-little) friend. If you can purchase a ticket, share this story to your friends, or do anything that you can to help us, I would really appreciate it! And so would Rotar!
