Heritage Farms in Peninsula, Ohio, has opened 5 primitive tent camping sites and 3 Scandinavian style camping shelters set in the woods and tree fields of the farm. From your tent or shelter you will be able to enjoy beautiful sunsets, bald eagle fly overs and lots of local wildlife. You will camp in an area with direct access to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Tree Farm Trail and the Deep Lock and Towpath trails.
Tent sites include a picnic table and trash can. There is a central campfire area for the tent sites. Cooking is done at each individual site on a camp stove. Campfires are not allowed at the tent sites. Tent sites can accommodate up to 4 adults in no more that 2 tents. Families with more than 4 family members are welcome. Call Carol to arrange for a family campsite. Cost for a tent site is $25.00 per site per night.
Our shelters are 3-sided roofed raised platforms large enough for 2 adults or a small family. The shelters also have a picnic table and a trash can as well as a rain proof cover for the shelter opening. A central campfire area is very convenient to the shelters. Cooking is done at each shelter site on your camp stove. There is also parking for your vehicle at each shelter site.
We provide starter firewood for each campfire. Please, DO NOT bring firewood to the farm. There are 2 portable toilets and a tank of water for washing located in the parking lot. Our water is for washing only. All drinking water must be brought in. Additional firewood and bottled water are available for purchase.
All vehicles including motorcycles must be left in the parking lot. For the safety of our guests, customers, and Heritage Farms staff, we must ask you to please leave your pets at home. Drugs, alcohol, firearms and fireworks must be left at home too.
Camping is by reservation and paid for by credit card by calling the Farm at 330-657-2330. All sales are final and there are no refunds. Check in is from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. Check out is at 12:00 noon. We will accept Walk-ins for vacant sites at 5:00 pm.
