Discover the wonders of the season on a magical hike with Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf!
Ho-Ho-Ho Hiking with Santa & Buddy the Elf will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87), Russell Twp.
Offered this year for the very first time – because heck, doesn’t it sound like fun?! – this hike will offer lots of great photo opportunities, with Santa also available for photos and wish lists after the hike.
“We’ll investigate animal tracks and signs, plant and animal survival strategies, and the nature of snow and ice,” said Chief Naturalist John Kolar, who got the two special guests involved. “And, I’m sure Buddy is going to have a blast with the kids, since he thinks Nature is soooooo neat!”
He continued, “Don’t forget, Santa and Buddy have to pass through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, through the sea of Swirly, Twirly Gumdrops, and then walking through the Lincoln Tunnel just to be there for this amazing discovery hike – so we are very lucky to have them!”
Registration is not required for this partially wheelchair/stroller accessible event. Questions? Call 440-286-9516.
