Eat a pie, win a pie!
Love homemade pie? This week you can participate in an Amish pie eating contest! Open to the public and all ages are welcome.
The homemade pie-eating contest is held at the Middlefield Farmers’ Market. Support local businesses at the farmers’ market. Enter the contest or be a spectator… the messier the better; it will be a fun event! All ages are welcome to devour delicious Amish-made pies that will be used in the contest. Eat a pie, win a pie! Winner goes home with their own pie to eat at their leisure.
Contest will allow one entry per person. Applicants were accepted last week and will again be accepted on Saturday July 27, 2013 and at the Middlefield Farmers’ Market booth at the farmers’ market on Sperry Lane. Market is open from 9 a.m. – noon. 12 applicants will be selected at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 27, 2013. Applicants need to be present; contest will begin after 12 applicants are selected.
The Middlefield Farmers Market will take place every Saturday 9 a.m. to noon and continue each Saturday through Sept. 28 at Mineral Lake Park, 15700 Sperry Lane in Middlefield.
