No matter the size of your woodlot, your trees have value that increase with time, proper management, and optimal health. The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation (SWCD), USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, ODNR Ohio Division of Forestry, and Geauga County Farm Bureau are teaming up to provide an informative program to explore tools and resources to sustainably and profitably manage woodlands on your property.
Join us on Wednesday, January 15th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Patterson Center (14269 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton, OH 44021) to learn about federal programs that can help you achieve your timber and wildlife goals for the new year! This program is part of “Woodland Wednesdays,” an exciting new workshop series promoting healthy trees & woodlands.
This workshop is FREE but reservations are required and the deadline to register is Monday, January 13th. Register at Woodland Wednesdays or contact the District at 440-834-1122 or gprunty@geaugaswcd.com. This workshop is also being offered in Lake and Ashtabula Counties on subsequent Wednesdays in January. Each workshop will cover the same content and all are welcome to attend any workshop regardless of residence. For more information visit Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District.
