Loretta Paganini was already well established in educating others about how to combine the most basic ingredients to create delicious recipes. But she grew tired of lugging her favorite pots, pans and utensils, and loading her car with fresh ingredients to schlep them to various locations to teach. One day a house came up for sale in Chesterland Ohio, which was well situated to her purposes, and she was urged by the realtor to put a bid (any bid) on the house to ensure she did not lose the opportunity. Being that her husband was out of town at the time (in the pre-cellphone 80s), she took a chance without him and placed a ridiculously low bid . . . It was accepted. When she greeted her husband at the airport with a lasagna in hand and realtor friend at her side, he knew she’d been up to mischief. Thus, was the beginning for the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking that opened in Chesterland in 1989.
Since that time, Loretta Paganini has continued to expand her empire in the culinary world, making a noted presence as a chef, business owner, author, television personality, and gastronomic tour guide.
