Rotary Student

In December, Emma Salem was selected Kenston’s Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month. She maintains a 4.481-grade point average. Emma scored a perfect “36” on his ACT. She has been recognized for her community service and academic accomplishments earning the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. Emma has been recognized with a Scholar Athlete Award three years in a row. She has earned six Academic Awards in AP US History, Art I, Honors Biology, Honors Geology, AP Spanish and AP Statistics.


Emma is involved in various clubs and activities; she is president of the Spanish Club, treasurer of National Honor Society, member of Student Council and Student Voices for Social Justice and the Girls Varsity Soccer team.


She gives back to her school community by participating in and organizing the National Honor Society Blood Drive and Homecoming as a member of the Student Council. She has also shared her love of soccer as a youth camp counselor for Kenston Futbol Club. She also serves as a tutor at Kenston Academy.


Outside of school, Emma has worked at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams since 2020 and has been promoted from Ambassador to Team Leader.  

Emma is undecided about his college decision. She plans to attend a four-year university and major in physics or Mathematics.
