Leadership Geauga seeks nominations for the 2023 Emerald Leader Award

Nominations will be accepted through November 11, 2022

Since 2001, Leadership Geauga County’s Emerald Leader Award has honored visionary and dedicated community leaders whose extraordinary work has enhanced the quality of life in Geauga County. These individuals and organizations have given generously of their time and talents to promote a stronger community and have shaped the Geauga County in significant ways.

Nominations for the 2023 Emerald Leader Award from the community are encouraged.  This award is presented to an individual, business and/or a non-profit agency that demonstrates outstanding leadership by contributions through volunteerism, philanthropy, or innovation. Nominees (individuals or organizations) must reside in Geauga County to be considered and do not have to be associated with, or alumni of, Leadership Geauga.

Nominations should demonstrate any combination of the following:

  • Active volunteer participation in community, professional, and/or service organizations
  • Contributed resources (time, talents, material) to community, professional, and/or service organizations
  • Engaged in a single special act of service that impacted the community
  • Created or supported an innovative program, system, or facility that benefits and enhances Geauga County
  • Served the community in a capacity well beyond job requirements
  • Fostered positive community relationships
  • Enhanced or supported communityimprovements
  • Introduced or implemented innovations in the community
