Legacy of Love by the Junior Choir

This weekend the Junior Choir at First United Methodist Church in Middlefield is proud to present their holiday performance titled, “Legacy of Love”.  Early in September, youth from surrounding communities that range in grade levels from 2nd through 8th, gather at the church two afternoons a week to start preparing for their holiday performance. They look forward to being with friends, acting, and singing.  Before practice, they have the opportunity to complete homework assignments with parent volunteers and to eat a snack provided for them. It is a fun time for them to socialize with one another and have fun.

Legacy of Love at Middlefield UMC

The Junior Choir program has been a part of the community for many years. For the last five years, Katrina King has been pouring her heart into the program and the children involved. Each year, there are usually around 18 to 30 kids involved.  This year, however, the program has been blessed with 43 amazing youth – the largest amount ever! Along with Katrina, several high school teens assist with the production behind the scenes and helping the younger kids. These kids work hard memorizing lines and learning the music and choreography – all the aspects of what goes into a play. It not only allows them to express their creativity through musical art, but also builds confidence in each one of them.

If you are free this weekend, please consider coming to support this dedicated group of kids. They are ready to show you what love truly is all about! There will be three performances offered: Friday December 9th at 7 pm. and Sunday December 11th at 9:00 am  and 10:45 am. It will be held at First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Avenue in Middlefield. Hope to see you there!
