Library Donations Now Possible Online Via Geauga Library.Net

Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) is now accepting online donations. To help make the donation process convenient, GCPL has added a “Donate Now” button to its website on the right-hand side of the page. Now, patrons who would like to make a secure donation with a credit or debit card may do so. If the donation is a memorial in tribute to or in honor of an avid library user, it is easy to add the tribute’s name and contact information. Anonymous donations are also possible.

In the past, people who wanted to give a monetary donation to a library, typically wrote checks and delivered them to any of the GCPL locations. Making online donations available to patrons is simply another way GCPL is working to simplify how patrons interact with their libraries.

“Whenever we receive a donation for any reason, be it a memorial to someone’s life or a way of expressing deep support for the library,” notes Director Deborah F. O’Connor, “we are extremely grateful. Like all libraries, we operate with limited funds, and we appreciate any and all tokens of support. The online button offers an easy, secure way to support the library. People who transact online will likely be familiar with the procedure.”

The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service community libraries in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West) and Middlefield; two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson; one Bookmobile that serves farms, nursing homes and nursery schools; and one administrative center where technical services, computer services, facilities and administrative functions reside.
