The Sixth Sense of Nature Writing with Kathleen Cerveny

This workshop will offer examples of metaphor and heightened sense imagery in writing about nature. You’ll use close observation and a focus on your own senses as a starting point for your writing.

Field Notes for Writers with Kathryn Flinn

Focus on the naturalist’s practice of taking field notes and learn how you can use it to generate vivid and thoughtful writing on nature, culture, and place. You’ll spend some time outside, where you can practice this discipline and learn how to make connections between external and internal observations.
