Curtain 440 will provide some family holiday fun with a musical based on the much-loved Louisa May Alcott book, Little Women. Featuring adults from within NE Ohio and teens from several schools, the cast has become a family group, sharing their love of the show, as well as their amazing vocal talents.

“This is a beautiful representation of the joys and strength of family, as well as the daily challenges and losses that inevitably accompanies loving well,” says Gina Piotrkowski (Marmee). This is her first experience with Curtain 440, and she is enjoying the energy, confidence and kindness of the cast.  Also new to the group is Christopher Smith (John Brooke). “I am enjoying the spirit of camaraderie we’ve created together.”  Actual family is also involved. Mandi Matchinga (Aunt March) is excited to share the stage with her high school senior daughter Riley (Amy March) for the first time, and also enjoys watching the younger cast members growing up on stage and now working alongside them.

Vocal powerhouse Loren Sciulla (Jo March) is learning to adapt to a cast that is mixed ages. “The adults have a lot of experience, and the teens are eager to grow. They come together and combine their strengths.”

Director Angela Miloro-Hansen and her team have created a theater stage in the Bond Building at Century Village, adding construction to the acting/dancing/rehearsing schedule. Cast and crew are excited to present Little Women for the next two weekends.

Little Women, The Musical, will run Fridays/Saturdays/Sunday, Dec. 9-17 at 7:30pm, ending with a 3pm matinee on Sunday Dec.18, at the Bond Building in Century Village, 14653 E. Park St, Burton. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for students and can be purchased online or at www.curtain440.com/Tickets.
