This spring the Cardinal Local School District will once again participate in the One School, One Book reading adventure.
Last year, our elementary students took part by reading The World According to Humphrey. It was an amazing experience for our students, staff and even the community, as everyone came together to support this common goal of reading the book together! Our students loved it and the improvement in their reading skills and class attendance last year prove it!
This year, the One School, One Book program will expand to include students in K-8 and two of our teachers, Mrs. Maxwell and Mrs. Pizzino, have set up DonorsChoose.org pages to help raise money to provide books for our students.
In addition, the District would also like to thank Gary Cox and Great Day Child Care Learning Center for their $500 donation to the One School, One Book program. The money will be used to help purchase books for all of our students participating in this year’s reading adventure!
