12th Annual Mesopotamia Fall Heritage Day
Oct 5, 2013
The 12th annual Mesopotamia Fall Heritage Day will be held at the Mesopotamia Commons on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Mesopotamia, Ohio, corner of State Route 87 and State Route 534.
The Mesopotamia Fall Heritage Day brings together skilled artisans from the Greater Mespo area that specialize in traditional Amish and Yankee crafts. The event is hosted by the Mesopotamia Chamber of Commerce.
Crafters in period costume will perform outdoor demonstrations that include soap making, quilting, rag rug weaving, basket weaving, blacksmithing, candle making, leather working, spinning and more.
Heritage Day is a family-friendly event that also offers homemade ice cream, apple butter-making, an Amish bake sale with fried pies and a delicious lunch stand.
There are old-fashioned quality craft sales and fun festivities that appeal to all ages, including the annual quilt raffle that is held on the premises at 3 p.m.
