34th Annual Arts Festival
Aug 3, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Chardon Square Association’s 34th Annual Arts Festival will be held on Sunday, August 3, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on beautiful, historic Chardon Square. Chardon Square is located at the intersection of State Routes 44 and 6 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The juried, outdoor show is free to attend and will host over 100 artists both local and out of state, providing a wonderful opportunity for a day of shopping and dining in a park-like setting. It is estimated that 5,000 people enjoy this beautiful show each year.
The artists represented will cover many different genres including; painting, stained glass, leather, fabric art, wood carving, pottery, photography, weaving, copper, jewelry, stone cutting and more.
This year the Arts Festival is introducing a local featured artist which will be an annual occurrence. Chardon resident Pat Ingram of Brushworks Studio will be the first to be featured. Ms. Ingram will be offering impressionistic landscapes in oil.
You will not want to miss the ever popular large copper frog sculptures for your patio or pond, or the wonderful stone houses for your garden made by Adam New of Mentor. There will also be banks handcrafted from original post office doors, beautifully hand woven outfits of local artist Nancy Hart, and brooms made by Chuck Fath of Burton.
A great selection of restaurants will be open on the Square during the festival for your dining pleasure as well as food venders at the show.
The Chardon Square Arts Festival is being sponsored by Renewal by Anderson Windows, Masters Consulting Group, and in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Gump.
