Best Bets for Birding Geauga: Winter Wings
Nov 13, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Learn more ways to enjoy winter via senior naturalist’s series on birds
Birders have a warm place in their hearts for winter.
It’s when the hardiest of birds descend on feeders, fields and unfrozen waters to be enjoyed by the heartiest of birders.
Geauga Park District welcomes anyone interested in some seasonal bird-watching guidance to Best Bets for Birding Geauga: Winter Wings on Wednesday, November 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Senior Naturalist Dan Best will provide an illustrated overview of birds found in Geauga County during the winter, featuring year-round birds that come south to winter here, and will tell you where to look for rare and irregular winter visitors.
Dan is a wealth of Nature knowledge, and this program allows you to tap into his years of observation for your own personal enrichment.
The West Woods Nature Center, at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township, is wheelchair/stroller accessible. Registration is not required. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
Geauga Park District is online, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
