Fairy GardenAs part of an ongoing collaboration between the Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG), The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild (GLTG), and the Geauga Council on Arts and Culture, April’s featured GANG artist will be holding a series of classes this summer in the Bond Building at 101 Water Street in Downtown Chardon.

Karin Stubler is the creative force behind the fairy garden department of Maple Ridge Garden Center. She has been organizing events and teaching children and adults the art of making fairy gardens since 2009.

There is still time to register for the August classes. The adult class will be held on Saturday August 9, from 1-2:30 p.m. The children’s class is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, from 3-4:40 p.m. Materials provided will include a pot, plant(s), a fairy, and other accessories. The Guild is donating their rehearsal hall space and the Council is underwriting a portion of the material fees.

If you’ve been wanting to learn more about fairy lore and how to create a fairy garden of your own, you can register online at the GLTG website: (Education/Classes/Visual Arts) or by calling the theater on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 440-285-7701.
