The Case of the Missing Will
Nov 8, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
In 1870, Illinois resident James Taylor was born in Ohio—but where and to whom? There is no will, probate, death record, or obituary associated with James that documents his ancestry. Using this scenario as a case study, genealogist presenter Shelley Bishop will illustrate how indirect evidence drawn from research in a variety of sources, can be analyzed and correlated to identify missing information, such as who James’ parents were and the location of his birth.
Our presenter will start her presentation at 7:00PM, and following Q&A, the GCGS Membership meeting will be held.
