Tom Zubek Art: Railroad Spikes, Leather, Wood, and Spider Webs

 Zubek’s art work includes sculptural pieces incorporating railroad spikes which have leather and wood pieces with forms and patterns burned into them using an electrically heated pencil; and works incorporating real spider webs. He is also an expert on the airplane nose art that was used to decorate and sometimes convey messages on World War II aircraft. An active pilot, who has owned a number of airplanes over the years, he is a flying enthusiast whose childhood interest in model airplanes generated a lifelong passion for aviation.
