We love the long days of summer, don’t we? Celebrate the very longest day of 2017 during Solar Day & Solstice Sunset on Wednesday, June 21st, at Observatory Park!
From 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., activities for the whole family will include cooking s’mores in a solar oven, participating in solar-powered toy car races, testing light-sensitive beads and viewing the sun in a safe way using this special park’s very special telescope. Plus, stick around for a Observatory Park sunset if skies are clear – around here, they can be quite the show.
Registration is not required for this event, where all activities will be wheelchair/stroller accessible.
